Woman charged in Gosford

A woman has been charged with the theft and fraudulent use of property on the Central Coast, NSW Police say.

Last month, officers from Brisbane Water Local Area Command launched an investigation after being alerted to numerous transactions being conducted on a woman’s bank accounts after her death.

As part of inquiries, yesterday, a 32-year-old woman attended Gosford Police Station and spoke with investigators.

Police will allege the woman found a credit card which had discarded after being stolen from a fatal crash scene in North Gosford last month.

The woman was issued a Future Service Court Attendance Notice for stealing (by find), dishonestly obtain property by deception and dishonestly obtain property by deception for an unrelated matter.

She will appear at Gosford Local Court on Tuesday 29 November 2016.
