A woman has been charged after allegedly sending multiple threatening letters to organisations and individuals.
In May 2026, officers from the Security Investigation Unit of the Counter Terrorism & Special Tactics Command established Strike Force Eckon in response to a large volume of letters being sent to an exhibition space in Darlinghurst, a place of worship in Lakemba, politicians, individuals, a media outlet and government agencies at the local, state and federal level.
On Thursday 16 July 2026, detective executed a search warrant at a home in Constitution Hill, where a number of electronic devices were seized.
Following further inquiries, about 6am today (Wednesday 5 August 2026), police arrested a 36-year-old woman at the same premises in Constitution Hill.
The woman was taken to Parramatta Police Station where she was charged with 62 offences:
- 19 counts of send document threatening death or grievous bodily harm
- 14 counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (domestic)
- 10 counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (personal)
- Six counts of use postal/similar service to menace/harass/be offensive
- 10 counts of make false accusation with intention subject other to investigation
- Use false document to influence exercise of public duty
- Dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception and,
- Use false document to obtain financial advantage.
Police will allege in court that the nature of these letters were abusive in nature and pertaining to be from another person.
She was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 5 August 2026).
