Woman dies in crash - Mascot

A woman has died after a crash in Sydney's south today.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Coward and Bourke streets, Mascot, after a car and truck collided about 12.30pm (Wednesday 9 September 2020).

A woman was trapped inside the car for a short time before being released, however she died at the scene.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
