A variety of fun, informative and introspective events will mark Women's History Month at The University of Texas at Arlington.

This year's theme is Raising Her Voice. UTA senior business marketing management major Karla Perez said she raises her voice through advocacy.

"We have come such a long way," Perez said. "Supporting and uplifting each other is something that should always be done between women and anyone who identifies as a woman."

Campus community members can attend several events across campus through March, including:

In 1987, Congress passed a law that designated March as Women's History Month. Each president since 1995 has issued an annual proclamation designating March as Women's History Month.
