Works and noise ramping up at Frederickton reservoir

Kempsey Shire Council

Sandblasting works will start from Monday at the Frederickton Water Reservoir refurbishment.

The reservoir on Great North Road has been receiving a makeover since January this year with sandblasting set to kick off on Monday 6 March.

Kempsey Shire Council will be sandblasting the inside and outside of the reservoir which will generate noise throughout the week, weather permitting. While the noise will be within the regulation limits the noise being generated from the work site will be louder than usual.

Sandblasting works will take place again in April.

Council has completed letter box drops and door knocks to nearby residents to inform them of the works.

The refurbishment will ensure that residents continue to have quality drinking water.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
