Police investigating a disturbance this afternoon between two men at Park Avenue, in Rockhampton have charged a 26-year-old local with unlawful wounding, Queensland Police say.
It will be alleged two men were involved in an altercation at a Sheehy Street home around 12md during which time a 25-year-old local man sustained stab wounds to his chest and body.
He was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with wounding (domestic violence offence) and wilful damage.
