Wounding Charges At Morayfield

Police have charged a girl following a wounding incident at Morayfield last night, 17 April.

It will be alleged two 13-year-old Morayfield girls were involved in an altercation around 11.15pm when one girl produced a bladed weapon and stabbed the other girl.

Police located the wounded 13-year-old girl nearby.

She was transported to Queensland Children's Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers conducted patrols and located the other 13-year-old girl about midnight.

She has been charged with one count each of wounding, possession of a knife in a public place and stealing.

She is expected to appear in Maroochydore Childrens Court today, 18 April.
