Wyndham City is proud to host the Wyndham Disability Connection Expo, which will feature local support services, workshops and speakers to help people with disability live a vibrant life.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said the expo was tailored to cater to the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities.
"Our City has a range of support providers and programs that can provide opportunities for those with disability to improve skills, link to health clinicians and discover varied social programs," she said.
"We look forward to the expo being a valuable experience where attendees can connect with services that help them reach their goals to live a vibrant life."
This event is open to everyone, those with lived experience of disability, NDIS participants, and those not NDIS supported.
This event is delivered in partnership with Cocoon SDA Care, Brotherhood of St Laurence, Beyond Choice and Australia Disability Services and the Wyndham Disability Services Network.
The expo is a major part of Wyndham's Accessibility and Inclusion Plan 2023-2025, which is guided by the vision:
"People with disability, our families and/or carers experience dignity, respect and inclusive access to opportunities and services. Our voice is respected, we have control over our lives, and disability pride and diversity are celebrated."
