Free expert parenting advice, hands-on kids' activities and local service providers all in one place – the much-loved You're Kidding Me Expo is back at Charlestown Square from Monday 2 to Friday 6 June.
Held daily from 9am–1pm outside Myer on Level 1, the weeklong event connects families with services that support early childhood development, education and wellbeing.
Lake Macquarie City Council Coordinator Social and Community Planning Jess Salvador said she was excited to see families make it to the Hunter's largest children and family expo.
"We're proud to offer families free access to trusted advice, local services and engaging activities for their children," she said.
"Being a parent or carer isn't always easy – but having the right support around you can make all the difference."
Designed for families with children aged 0-8, the expo will feature speech and occupational therapists, early learning providers, health services, play groups and more.
Families will have the chance to learn, ask questions and discover what's available in their community.
"Whether you're a new parent navigating baby sleep routines, or you're after support with preschool readiness or childhood behaviour, the You're Kidding Me Expo is a fantastic place to start," she said.
"And, we have plenty of fun for the kids, with a reptile show and superhero appearances throughout the week."
"It's fun, informative and completely free."
Now in its 12th year, the event continues to deliver on Council's Children and Families Strategy by ensuring families have easy access to the services and knowledge they need to thrive.
