We're at a beautiful intersection when Ramadan, Lent and Lunar New Year are being observed at the same time. I walked down Murray Street Mall just yesterday and the vibes were amazing.
Sadly, this time of celebration has been dampened by the news of another white supremacist being arrested in Western Australia.
I learned of this development through the media while attending prayers at my local mosque during Ramadan yesterday evening.
I love WA, and I believe that this man isn't representative of the place that I love and will soon raise my daughter in.
Hope will overcome hate.
