One new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the Northern Territory, with the cluster now at four cases. The positive case is a 48 year old male, who is a household contact of cases one and two. The man had previously returned two negative tests but became positive last night. The man has been in quarantine at the Centre for National Resilience for his entire infectious period and poses no risk to the community. He is double vaccinated and is experiencing mild, flu-like symptoms.

Public exposure sites have been updated and some locations reclassified. The Humpty Doo Hotel inside bar area remains a close contact public exposure site for 2 November 2021 between 7.15pm and 7.30pm. It is important all people in the NT to regularly check the COVID-19 website to review the list of NT public exposure sites.

NT Health contact tracers have identified no new close contacts. 914 casual contacts have been identified and the vast majority of these close contacts have returned a negative test, with some further results expected today. Significant testing has been undertaken with 2387 COVID-19 tests completed across the NT in the past 24 hours, with all except the latest positive case returning negative results.

It is critical that anyone who has symptoms gets tested for COVID-19 so we can ensure any spread of COVID-19 in the NT has been contained.

Daily wastewater testing in Greater Darwin up until 7 November 2021 has returned negative results.
