Corangamite businesses have been named as finalists for the 2025 Corangamite Business Awards.
Approximately 40 nominations were received for the awards with businesses self-nominating in one of five categories. Nominees were assessed against specific category criteria with a total of fifteen business qualifying as finalists, three in each of the five categories.
Mayor Kate Makin extended her congratulations to the finalists and expressed gratitude to all businesses that nominated.
"A big congratulations to all our deserving finalists," Cr Makin said.
"It was fantastic to see so many great nominations. Taking the time to reflect and submit a nomination showcasing your business is an achievement in itself."
The finalists will each receive a photography package and will be promoted through both online and print platforms.
Manager Economy and Prosperity Katy McMahon announced that now the difficult decision of determining award winners begins.
"From the three finalists in each category, one winner will be selected by an independent panel of judges," Ms McMahon said.
"The judging panel comprises independent business and community leaders who are considered experts in their respective categories."
Council will acknowledge all the finalists and announce the category winners at the awards ceremony on Wednesday 18 June 2025.
The evening will be celebrated in person at the Camperdown Theatre Royal with tickets to be released at a later date.
