The grant funding opportunity is designed to narrow the digital divide between the cities and the bush, by delivering fast and reliable internet access, where it is needed most.

The grants invite telecommunications providers to submit funding proposals to transform regional areas with new internet infrastructure and improved levels of connectivity.

Grants funding proposals must:

improve internet connectivity in areas where satellite is the only option

deliver minimum upload and download speeds of 50 / 20 megabits per second (mbps)

provide internet connectivity that is ready for service by late 2025.

By investing in solutions that improve the speed, price, quality and choice of internet providers, more people and businesses can stay better connected across NSW.
