From skateboarding in Darwin to movie nights in Katherine, hip-hop in Palmerston and mountain biking in Central Australia - the Finocchiaro CLP Government's school holiday program is giving young Territorians plenty of reasons to get out and have fun.
More than 650 free and low-cost activities are scheduled across the Territory from today to Monday 6 October 2025.
Minister for Youth, Seniors and Equality said this school holidays are about giving young people the chance to try new things, connect with mates, and build confidence in safe and welcoming spaces.
"With more than 650 activities right across the NT, including arts and sports to music, gaming and cultural workshops, there's something for everyone to get involved in."
"Our government is backing local youth organisations with real investment so they can keep delivering the programs that matter for young Territorians."
One of those organisations is Dream Impact Inspire, which runs DJ, mentoring, boxing and community engagement programs. This holiday period, they'll deliver boxing and mentoring sessions at Wurrumiyanga on the Tiwi Islands, helping young people get active, learn new skills and build confidence.
Highlights across the NT include:
Central Australia - Bike-fixing workshops with Bikes Mwerre, plus mountain bike rides for young riders.Darwin - Self-care workshops at SHAK Youth Hub, City of Darwin's packed program with movies at Deckchair Cinema, FREEze Skate, Gaming After Dark, Geek Up, and Get That Job! workshops.
Palmerston - Hip Hop Dance workshops with Corrugated Iron at the Recreation Centre, plus free recording sessions at the Gulwa Recording Studio.
Big Rivers - Skateboarding sessions with Build Up Skateboarding, free movies at Katherine Cinema, and lure-painting workshops at Rod and Rifle Tackleworld.
East Arnhem - Dance workshops with TRACKS Dance, the Nylon Zoo, and activities across homelands and remote communities including Galiwin'ku, Yirrkala and Milingimbi.
West Daly - A range of fun sporting activities delivered by High Calibre.
Tiwi Islands - Auskick workshops, BBQs and boxing sessions.
While most activities are free, some requiring bookings.
