Aaron Taylor-Johnson in talks for Doug Liman's 'The Wall'?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in talks to star in Doug Liman’s "The Wall" for Amazon Pictures sources tell Variety.

The pic will be the first original film for Amazon with Liman directing from a script by Dwain Worrell. The script was on the 2014 Black List before being acquired by the studio.

Amazon and Taylor-Johnson’s reps were not able to be reached for comment.

The film is described as a deadly cat-and-mouse thriller waged between an American sniper, played by Taylor-Johnson, and Iraqi sharpshooter who has him pinned down behind a small chunk of concrete. FilmNation is handling international sales for the film at the Cannes Film Festival, which begins later this week.

Sources say Taylor-Johnson won Liman over for the highly coveted role after several meetings.

Taylor-Johnson can be seen next in Tom Ford’s "Nocturnal Animals" alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon and Amy Adams, with early buzz growing on the awards end.

He was also recently seen in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" as Quicksilver.
