ABC and SBS both need urgent reform: Crabtree

Australian Conservatives Release

A recent poll of almost 8,000 people found that 90 per cent of respondents want funding for the ABC cut.

Conservative Party policy is for the ABC and SBS to be merged and trimmed down to just two national television and two national radio networks.

Party leader Cory Bernardi says the ABC is "Bloated, blatantly leftist and consistently in breach of its charter".

The Conservatives' Western Australian Senate candidate Jonathan Crabtree has told Matt McKenzie on Perth radio station 87.9FM while the party supports the ABC, the blatant political bias and last year's merger of Channel 9 and Fairfax media is more evidence that it has too much reach and broadcast capacity in Australia.
