All ACT Government turf sportsgrounds are closed for training and match play today and tomorrow, Thursday 4 and Friday 5 August 2022, due to the heavy rainfalls.
Closures include turf sportsgrounds but exclude the Melrose and Nicholls synthetic fields and the Woden athletics track.
The decision has been taken in order to minimise damage to turf surfaces and is in the interests of public safety after heavy rainfall overnight and expected during the course of the day.
The condition of the grounds will continue to be assessed and a decision will be made tomorrow, Friday 5 August 2022, regarding training and match play for the weekend.
