Adelaide Park formerly part of Cobraball fire bushfire

Bushfire warning level: ADVICE

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Adelaide Park.

This warning no longer extends to Cobraball, Bungundarra and Lake Mary as the fire is no longer affecting these areas.

You need to keep up to date and decide what actions you will take if the situation changes.

Currently as at 2.15pm Saturday 16 November, a slow-moving fire is burning between Limestone Creek Road and Browns Lane. This fire is burning within containment lines and firefighters are monitoring the area.

To strengthen containment lines, crews will be backburning near Mount Barmoya today from 3.30pm. Firefighting aircraft will also be operating in the area.

Nearby residents may see flames and large volumes of smoke. While these operations are being undertaken, residents may also notice increased fighting resources in area.

Properties are not under direct threat at this time. Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you believe you or your property is under threat.
