Orange Council
Orange City Council has placed on exhibition an Administrative Amendment to the Orange Local Environmental Plan 2011 (the LEP).
The amendment seeks to make a series of minor corrections and updates to address issues that have arisen in recent years through legislative changes, subdivision of land altering property descriptions or other matters coming to Councils attention.
The proposal relates to:
- Several heritage corrections including both the heritage map entries in Schedule 5,
- Minor zoning corrections to ensure the RE2 Public Recreation Zone better aligns with the cadastre and does not intrude onto neighbouring residential properties,
- A spot rezoning in Byng Street from R1 General Residential to E4 General Industrial to reflect its continued use for industrial purposes.
- Land use table changes to enable Creative Industries in the E2 Commercial Centre zone.
- Land use table changes to allow Secondary Dwellings in the R5 Large Lot zone.
- Adjustments to clause 4.1AA to increase the zones in which Strata and Community title subdivisions are subject to minimum lot sizes.
- Clarification that clause 4.1B does not relate to Residential Flat Buildings
- A new clause to permit certain community based events without consent,
- Removal of a redundant Additional Permitted Use listing from schedule 1,
- A clause or Additional Permitted Use to allow a limited form of Animal Boarding or Training Establishment in the E4 General Industrial Zone
