Albany robbery and sex assault

Albany Detectives are investigating the reported robbery and sexual assault at a business in Spencer Park in the early hours of Saturday 10 July 2021.

Around 5.20am the victim, a woman in her 50s, entered the business from the rear door. Around 2 minutes later an unknown man has entered the Angove Road store and confronted the victim. He punched the victim and demanded money.

The victim was forced to hand over money and the man sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

The victim received medical treatment for facial injuries.

The wanted man is described as being 25 -30 years, brown skinned, 163 cm tall with a slim build, brown stubble on his face and distinctive looking teeth.

Detectives urge anyone who saw any suspicious person, has CCTV or dash-cam vision of the area between 5am and 5.40am to come forward.
