Alcock Road Reserve Dog Off-leash Park Complete

Pawsome news for Truganina dog owners - Alcock Road Reserve now has a dog off-leash park!

Work on the $450,000 park is now complete, delivering a large fenced lawn area with double gates to maximise pet safety, as well as a drink fountain and an active zone with agility equipment for energetic dogs.

The park also features a dog bag dispenser and bin, landscaping, bench seating and a new concrete path to link into the network of existing paths.

Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said the new dog off-leash park would be a great addition to Alcock Road Reserve.

"This interactive new space gives Truganina dog owners more choice when taking their beloved pooches out to play, and is sure to become a haven for residents and their pets alike," Cr Shaw said.

"We're working hard to ensure all residents have access to dog off-leash spaces within their local neighbourhood - and there's more to come, with construction of another dog off-leash park at Cambridge Reserve in Hoppers Crossing close to completion."

Wyndham City's Bemin Ward Councillor Preet Singh added: "The Alcock Road Reserve dog off-leash park will have your dog barking in delight - providing them with the perfect space to play, exercise and socialise."

This exciting addition aligns with the Wyndham Dog Off-Leash Plan 2022 and Wyndham's Open Space Strategy 2045, dedicated to providing accessible and well-connected open spaces for families and their pets.
