Allens has advised Australian tech startup VEME on the launch of its innovative platform designed to make private car sales safer and more secure.
VEME recently launched the platform in the Australian market alongside its first commercial partnership with the Commonwealth Bank. The digital solution provides a five step process for private vehicle transactions, including identity verification of both parties, vehicle history checks, formalisation of a sale agreement, secure payment handling and a guided handover.
As part of the Allens Accelerate practice, the firm advised VEME from inception through to product launch. This included early governance structuring and equity financing, financial services and regulatory compliance advice, and commercial contracting support such as the development of platform terms, a vehicle sale contract and the establishment of VEME's first major commercial partnership.
