Annerley police seek info on dangerous vehicle operation

Police are appealing for information following the dangerous operation of a vehicle at Annerley on April 18.

Around 1.35pm, a white-coloured Ford Ranger with black roof racks was travelling southbound on Ipswich Road when a male pedestrian threw a soft drink can at the vehicle.

The driver of the Ford Ranger did an illegal U-turn in front of the two other southbound lanes and mounted the footpath on Ipswich Road near Ekibin Road.

The Ford Ranger continued driving against the flow of traffic before the driver exited the vehicle and chased after the pedestrian and his friend.

The pedestrian attempted to run across Ipswich Road and was struck by a taxi.

He sustained head injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have dashcam or CCTV footage, to contact investigators.
