ANZ extends support package to Victorian customers affected by COVID-19 lockdown

ANZ today announced an extended support package for small business and home loan customers affected by the latest COVID-19 lockdown in Victoria.

ANZ's support for home loan customers who apply will include deferring or temporarily reducing repayments, waiving fees, restructuring home loan debt or switching to a fixed rate loan.

Business customers can defer payments on asset finance or business loans, receive a refund on merchant terminal fees and have some other fees waived.

In addition, business customers can take advantage of loans provided through the Federal Government's SME Loan Recovery Scheme, which offers eligible businesses discounted interest rates on loans of up to $5 million.

ANZ's Group Executive Australia Retail and Commercial Banking, Mark Hand said: "We all know that this latest lockdown in Victoria will be a major blow to many of our retail and business customers."

"We want our customers to feel supported in these difficult times and we've increased our resources so that people seeking assistance will find the helping hand they need. Many Victorians have shown great resolve during this crisis and our people are here to help them through the next stage."
