Appeal after armed robbery at Guyra

Detectives are appealing for information as investigations continue into an armed robbery in the state's New England region last week.

Police have been told two unknown men allegedly threatened a woman with a firearm before stealing her vehicle, on the corner of Clarke St and Sandon St, Guyra, about 4am last Tuesday (3 January 2023). The woman was not physically injured.

Officers from New England Police District attended, established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

At about 7.30am the same morning, the vehicle was located on Dodds Lane, Elsmore and seized for forensic examination. The woman's mobile phone was also recovered.

As part of their inquiries, investigators have released CCTV of a vehicle, which is being described as a white 4WD utility.

Anyone with information about those involved, or anyone with dashcam who was driving along Ollera St about the time of the incident, is urged to contact New England Police District or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
