Appeal after carjacking at Hurstville

Police are appearing for public assistance following a carjacking in Sydney's south last night.

Officers from St George Police Area Command have been told three men approached a stationary Holden Commodore sedan on Patrick Street, Hurstville, and threatened the driver, a 23-year-old man, and his passenger, a 28-year-old man.

The men stole two mobile phones and the car keys, before the driver and passenger ran from the scene.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers from St George Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle, described as an orange Holden Commodore sedan, with registration CY15UO, to come forward.
