Appeal after lewd act on train at Blacktown

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man allegedly performed a lewd act towards a woman on a train in Sydney's west.

The alleged offence occurred on a western line train travelling from Redfern to Penrith just before 5.30pm on Friday 28 August 2020.

Officers from the Police Transport Action Group North West Sector have now released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of slim build, aged in his late 20s, with short dark hair, a dark coloured goatee beard and moustache.

He is depicted in the images wearing sunglasses on his head, a light coloured jacket, a black shirt with white logo on left chest side, with black pants and tanned slippers. He was also carrying a brown satchel.

As inquiries continue, anyone who may have information are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
