Appeal after man assaulted in armed robbery - Ermington

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Sydney's north west yesterday.

Police were told that about 8pm (Tuesday 5 January 2021), three unknown males, armed with knives, entered a screen repair store on Betty Cuthbert Avenue in Ermington and demanded money from two employees.

One employee, a man aged 36, was assaulted before the males left the scene with a sum of cash.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics who treated the man for a possible concussion. He was taken to Westmead Hospital.

The second employee, a 20-year-old man, was not injured.

As investigations continue, police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and might have dashcam footage, to come forward.
