Appeal after teen assaulted at Penrith

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted in Penrith last month.

About 7.30am on Friday 13 November 2020, a 14-year-old boy was walking up the stairs out the front of Penrith railway station off Jane Street when he was approached by a man walking down the stairs.

Police were told the man walked up to the teen and punched him to the face. The man then walked off.

The teen suffered a split lip and a swollen jaw.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

As part of ongoing inquiries, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, medium build with black hair and a long goatee style beard. He was wearing a black hooded jumper with the writing 'NY Brooklyn' on the front, light grey shorts, a black baseball cap with sunglasses worn on the brim of the cap, Fila brand shoes and white socks.

Police have been advised that the man may travel regularly between St Marys and Penrith train Stations.
