General Manager Murray Furlong has issued a statement announcing the appointment of Mr Michael Crosby AM as the new Administrator of the CFMEU Construction and General Division (C&G Division). Mr Crosby commences in this role today, 22 May 2026, replacing Mr Mark Irving KC following his resignation.
This appointment follows a rigorous selection process which is detailed in the Report on the Appointment of the Administrator of the C&G Division.
In the statement, the General Manager indicates he is satisfied that Mr Crosby will continue the important work towards returning the C&G Division to a lawful organisation by instilling high levels of good governance and voluntary compliance with the law.
This appointment has been made under section 323C of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 and clause 2 of the Scheme of Administration, which forms Annexure A to the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) (CFMEU Construction and General Division Administration) Determination 2024.
