Appeal for dashcam for traffic incident, Underwood

Police are appealing to the public for information following a traffic crash and alleged assault at Underwood yesterday afternoon.

Initial inquires indicate that around 2:30pm, an 83-year-old man was driving a silver Toyota Camry along Kingston Road between Compton Road and Kenway Drive before colliding with a small red hatchback.

Following the collision, it is alleged the female driver of the hatchback got out of the car and proceeded to assault the man before he attempted to flee the scene in his car.

It is further alleged the woman followed the man for some time before he stopped near Logan Road, where she then proceeded to assault the man again.

It is understood members of the public were able to assist the man at the time of the second assault.

The man sustained injuries to his arm and shoulder following the incident.

The female driver has been described as approximately 155cm tall, with olive skin, middle eastern appearance, and was wearing a shirt and trousers.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information, dashcam or CCTV footage of the area from around the time of the incident to contact police.
