Architect appointed for Donnybrook District High School upgrades

  • Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery today announced the appointment of local H+H Architects to design classroom upgrades at Donnybrook District High School.

    The $1 million project consists of upgrading existing classrooms to provide modern learning facilities for students.

    Upgrades to the South West school will include installation of operable walls to three sets of two classrooms, refurbishment of classrooms and new storage facilities.

    Planning is under way and the project is now in the design phase, with works anticipated to be completed in early 2023.

    The project will also support local jobs in the region.

    As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

    "This is a key milestone for the works to update learning facilities at Donnybrook District High School.

    "The upgraded classrooms will provide young people in the South West with outstanding spaces to learn and thrive in."

    As stated by Collie-Preston MLA Jodie Hanns:

    "As a former Deputy Principal, I know the value of schools having modern facilities to create a quality learning environment for teachers and students.

    "I'm proud to be part of a Labor government that is committed to not only providing the best education for public school students in regional WA, but supporting local jobs too."
