Armed Robbery Investigation, Kuraby

Police are investigating reports of an armed robbery in Kuraby overnight.

Initial investigations indicate between 11pm to 11.30pm on 20 July, a group stopped a 28-year-old man and 27-year-old woman driving a van near the intersection of Stiller Road and Beenleigh Road.

Two unknown people approached the victim's vehicle, assaulted the 28-year-old man, and stole his car keys.

The offenders subsequently fled the area driving the victim's white 2025 Hyundai Staria van with Queensland registration 122NV7.

The Hyundai was last seen driving away with two other vehicles.

The 28-year-old man sustained minor injuries during the assault.

The woman was not physically injured.

Early reports suggest one of the offenders was armed with a sword during the incident.

Investigations are ongoing to determine if the car theft is linked to a report of four unknown people attempting to break into vehicles and an address on Outlook Place in Kuraby and a break in on Camaro Street in Runcorn overnight.

Detectives appeal for anyone with information or vision that may relate to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
