Arrests after two police members injured in Ballarat

Police have arrested three men after two police members from Ballarat were injured last night while responding to suspicious activity, Victoria Police say.

It is believed the police officers, a Constable and Senior Constable, were speaking to occupants of a vehicle in Bradley Street at about 2.40am when the driver suddenly reversed striking both members.

The members received minor injuries and are still fit to work.

A 21-year-old Napoleons man has been charged with reckless conduct, assault police, possess prohibited weapon and traffic offences and will appear in Ballarat Magistrates’ Court today.

An 18-year-old Ballarat man has been charged with drug related offences and was bailed but has since been arrested in relation to separate incidents and is currently being interviewed.

A 21-year-old Wendouree man was interviewed and released pending summons.
