Global law firm Ashurst continues to advise Great British Energy - Nuclear (GBE-N) and the UK Government as the UK's first Small Modular Reactor (SMR) contract with Rolls-Royce SMR is signed. The signing formally commences technology design activities that will enable the delivery of the UK's first SMRs as part of the UK Government's clean energy mission.

Commenting, lead partner Samuel Outtridge said: "We are delighted to be supporting GBE-N on this major milestone and playing a part towards making the UK's clean energy mission a reality."
Partner Patrick Boyle, who led our advice to the UK Government on the provision of financing to Rolls-Royce SMR via the National Wealth Fund, added: "We feel extremely privileged to have advised on a project as innovative as this and look forward to continuing to support the National Wealth Fund as it provides its financing to Rolls-Royce SMR."
