Assault at Lesmurdie Falls carpark

Midland Detectives are investigating a serious assault that occurred at the carpark at Lesmurdie Falls, Forrestfield on Thursday 12 September 2019.

Around 6.30am the victim, a woman in her 50's, was walking across the carpark in Palm Terrace, toward a small nature trail at the south end of the carpark. She had a large camera with her.

A small red car has pulled up next to the victim and a man (not known to the victim) got out of the car and approached her. He's yelled at her and struck her with a metal baseball bat.

The victim was struck several times.

The man got back into the car and left the car park at high speed, last seen heading towards Palm Terrace.

The victim was treated at St John of God Hospital, Midland for bruising and a possible broken arm.

Anyone who saw the incident, was in the vicinity of the incident and saw a red car similar to a Subaru Impreza driving in the area or have dash-cam footage of the vehicle, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
