Detectives from Organised Crime Gangs Group have taken a 31-year-old man into custody in relation to an assault at Nerang on Saturday (December 3).
Initial investigations indicate at approximately 12.45pm police were called to a car park on Pappas Way, where a group of persons were involved in a disturbance in which a 38-year-old Coomera man suffered head injuries.
He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations led detectives to attend a Park Ridge address this afternoon, where the 31-year-old man was taken into custody.
He is assisting police with enquiries.
Investigations are ongoing.
