Assault, Surfers Paradise 15 January

Queensland Police have charged a man after an alleged assault at Surfers Paradise this morning, January 15.

It will be alleged around 3am, emergency services were called to Surfers Paradise Boulevard, near Cavill Avenue following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old man who had been physically assaulted.

Officers tracked a man from the incident using CCTV and located him on Trickett Street, where he was taken into custody.

The 18-year-old Duranbah man has since been given a Notice To Appear for assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on February 22.
