Association of subjective memory complaints with structural brain abnormalities, cognitive decline among older adults

What The Study Did: Researchers found in this study of 900 older adults that subjective memory complaints were associated with larger white matter hyperintensity volumes, an abnormality in brain structure, and faster cognitive decline, suggesting that subjective memory complaints are an important sign of cognitive impairment.
