Through the partnership, we are working together to encourage the development and adoption of technologies that improve productivity and quality of life for our citizens.
The MoU follows agreement in March 2026 by Prime Minister Albanese, Prime Minister Carney and Prime Minister Modi to advance ACITI. We will achieve this through closer collaboration on artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, semiconductors, cybersecurity and innovation ecosystems.
The ACITI MoU establishes a joint working group to exchange knowledge and collaboration in:
- AI adoption, productivity and workforce skills
- AI startup, business and investment ecosystem collaboration
- AI policy and regulation exchanges
- AI risks and mitigations.
It also supports the Australian Government's National AI Plan.
