Australia Post has been named the delivery partner for Vinted, as the European second-hand marketplace launches in Australia from July 1.
Under the three-year partnership, all Vinted parcels in Australia will be powered by Australia Post, supporting a simple and convenient shipping experience for Australians buying and selling second-hand fashion through the platform.
Vinted is Europe's second-hand marketplace, Its Australian launch comes as recommerce continues to gain momentum locally, with Australia Post's 2026 eCommerce Report finding 46% of Aussies buy second-hand items annually, and the Australian recommerce market is estimated to reach USD $6.75 billion by 2029.
The report also found fashion is one of the top categories shoppers want to buy second-hand, at 30%, while 45% of shoppers say buying directly from a retailer or dedicated recommerce platform helps address concerns around trust and quality.
The partnership will combine Vinted's marketplace scale with Australia Post's national delivery network, including Post Offices, Parcel Lockers and trusted delivery services, making it easy for sellers to drop off parcels and for buyers to receive their purchases securely and conveniently.
Australia Post Executive General Manager Parcel, Post and eCommerce Services, Gary Starr, said the partnership reflects the growing importance of trusted, flexible delivery in Australia's ecommerce and resale economy.
"Vinted's launch in Australia is a major moment for recommerce, and we're proud to be the exclusive delivery partner helping bring the platform to Australian consumers," Mr Starr said.
"As more Australians embrace second-hand shopping, the delivery experience becomes even more important. Peer-to-peer selling depends on a process that is simple, reliable and easy to access.
"With our national network, Parcel Lockers and Post Offices, Australia Post is well placed to support Australians as they buy and sell on Vinted, while helping make resale more convenient at scale."
The partnership will be supported by a joint campaign across Australia Post and Vinted channels, encouraging Australians to sell the clothes they no longer wear and use Australia Post for simple, convenient shipping from drop-off to delivery.
