Get ready for your next Sunshine Coast adventure these school holidays with the launch of the revolutionary new online guide to our great outdoors.
Called Adventure Sunshine Coast, the Australian-first website showcases over 150 free, self-guided walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding and canoeing activities for people of all abilities – whether you're a first-time or experienced adventurer.
To celebrate, council will host a series of free guided tours from April 8 to 14.
Community and Environment Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said Adventure Sunshine Coast is the first trail finding website of its kind in Australia.
"Adventure Sunshine Coast has been designed to make it easy for people to discover the land and water trails on offer across the Sunshine Coast – from a PC or mobile device," Cr McKay said.
"It's unique because you can search all outdoor recreation activities on one website – whether it's a walk, ride or paddle adventure.
"Simply choose your activity and select the difficulty level to view all your local trails on a map, then browse the descriptions, photos and reviews to take your pick of the land and water trails on offer.
"With Adventure Sunshine Coast, there really is a new adventure around every corner – many people may not even know how many trails are right on their doorstep.
"Thanks to Adventure Sunshine Coast, it's now easier for residents and visitors to get out and to explore our healthy, smart, creative region."
