Australind crash - two people deceased

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Australind on Saturday, 2 April 2022.

About 3.10pm, an Isuzu tow-truck was travelling south along Forrest Highway when near Raymond Road, the truck left the road and struck a tree.

The driver, a 25-year-old man, and a 74-year-old female passenger, both died at the scene from injuries received in the crash.

A second passenger, a 77-year-old woman, received critical injuries in the crash and was airlifted by the RAC rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
