Author talk with Fiona McArthur

The Tamworth City Library is hosting author Fiona McArthur for an in-conversation author event to discuss her latest book 'The Opal Miner's Daughter', a heart-warming story set in Australia's outback.

Drawing from her earlier life as a rural midwife, Fiona McArthur shares her love of working with women, families and health professionals in her books previously releasing the non-fiction book 'Aussie Midwives'.

"It is wonderful to have authors local to North West NSW available to come and share their work with the Tamworth community." Council's Coordinator of Library Services, Shiralee Franks said. "Our author talks are always a big hit, and we can't wait to have Fiona share her exciting new book with us."

The event will be held on Wednesday 28 September 2022 from 2pm and will be followed by afternoon tea provided by Friends of Tamworth Library.

There will also be the opportunity to purchase Fiona's book and have her sign it.
