Since 2001, more than 90 individuals, community groups, local government, State Government and non-government organisations have been recognised for their outstanding efforts and achievements to protect WA's coastline.
Applicants can self-nominate or nominate any eligible community group, organisation or individual.
Nominations close at 4pm on Thursday, 28 August 2025. Winners will be announced at the 2025 WA Coastal and Marine Network Forum on 27 October 2025.
As stated by Planning and Lands Minister John Carey:
"These awards recognise actions that ensure a resilient coast and highlight the many important initiatives that protect and celebrate our extensive coastline.
"Caring for our vast WA coastline is no small task and these awards for excellence are an important way for us to acknowledge and thank the dedicated volunteers and groups who work tirelessly to protect and preserve coastal areas.
"They also help raise broader awareness about the importance of preserving these vital natural assets for future generations."
