Baby bulldog pinched in Kilferra aggravated burglary

Police are appealing for information after a French Bulldog puppy was stolen during an aggravated burglary in Kilfeera, near Benalla, overnight on Monday.

Benalla Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told the offenders broke into the Gunns Lane rural property sometime between 7.30pm on May 29 and 7.30am on May 30.

The offenders have stolen the victim's five-month-old French Bulldog puppy 'Daisy' from the living room before fleeing the home.

Four other puppies who were in the same area as Daisy remained untouched.

A 58-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman remained sleeping during the incident and were uninjured.

Daisy, who is chocolate and tan in colour, is micro-chipped and valued at around $15,000.

Detectives have released images of Daisy in the hope that anyone with information will come forward.
