Barossa Made Markets cancelled

Tanunda Christmas Shopping Night scheduled for this Thursday night will continue as planned, however The Barossa Council has made the regrettable decision to cancel the Barossa Made Markets.

Manager Tourism Services Jo Seabrook said the decision was made due to the challenges of meeting Covid-safe requirements following State Government restrictions announced earlier this week.

"We know Barossa people want to shop local, so it's great the Tanunda Shopping Night in Murray Street will continue as planned between 5pm and 8pm," Jo said.

"The Barossa Visitor Centre will also remain open for late-night trading. A large range of stallholders are represented in the Barossa Made Wares and Food Pantry, which means people can still shop small and local for a wide range of locally-made products that have the hallmark of Barossa quality.

"It's a great opportunity for people to appreciate where products come from and how their purchases support the people behind the product."

Council will explore future opportunities to host a 2021 market if restrictions permit.

A list of participating traders is available via the facebook event or by phoning the Barossa Visitor Centre on 1300 852 982.
