Bayside Council has taken out the top award for customer service at the prestigious Local Government Professionals Australia Awards for Excellence 2026.
Council took out the top prize for its transformative Be Better for Bayside initiative, a customer-focused program designed to improve how Council engages with the community while streamlining services to create a more responsive, accessible and people-centred experience. This Award acknowledges Council's ongoing commitment to delivering outstanding customer experience.
Adding to the achievement, Bayside Council was also finalist in the Environmental Leadership category for its inaugural Project Planet initiative. This one-day community event focusing on sustainability demonstrated Council's commitment to climate action and creating a resilient future for the community.
This recognition reflects on Bayside Council's environmental leadership.
