Emergency services responded to an incident in which a pillion passenger fell from the rear of a bicycle in Hawthorn last month.
A 20-year-old woman was seriously injured in the fall from the bicycle on Glenferrie Road about 5pm Tuesday 29 September.
She was taken to hospital but sadly, has died.
Nunawading Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
