Body of man retrieved from waters near Kurnell

The body of a man has been retrieved from the ocean in Sydney's south this afternoon.

About 2.30pm (Tuesday 9 June 2020), emergency services were called after unattended property was located near the water's edge.

The unconscious body of a male was retrieved by NSW Water Police and taken to Cronulla wharf where he was treated by ambulance officers.

The man was unable to be revived.

Officers from Sutherland Police Area Command are investigating the incident.
